Daily Somatic Essentials Workshop

Workshop participants will be guided through a series of gentle somatic movements that, when practiced regularly, can help release chronic tension, stiffness and habitually contracted muscles.  Chronic muscle tension contributes to less fluid movement, postural imbalances and a variety of painful conditions such as: chronic neck, shoulder, hip or back pain.  We will move slowly to remind the brain how to sense muscle tension in your body and then how to release it.  Learning this series of gentle movements can help support your body in finding greater functioning and ease. 

Sarah is a Clinical Somatic Educator and Yoga Instructor (TT500). Sarah's roots as a wilderness educator guide her interest in individual discoveries of body, mind and spirit. She has found freedom through quiet movement discoveries in her own body and enjoys helping others unravel old neuromuscular patterns. She combines therapeutic yoga techniques with somatics to help individual clients move beyond pain to greater function and ease. She also loves the daily adventure that parenting brings at her home in Ely.
